Prophetess

Overview

Prophetess is a Magical Synergy DPS. Her amazing synergy makes her the excellent character to play along other DPS Characters, as she provides everything they want; buffs, debuffs, cooldown acceleration, etc. She has a very simple (yet very strong) character system.

PROS

• Very good big bossing capabilities.

• Fits in every magical party due to her high variety of buffs, including magical attack power, all damage dealt, damage to boss monsters, defense shred, action speed and cooldown acceleration.

• One of the best synergies in the game overall.

• She's often wanted even at low investment, which makes her very beginner friendly.

• Low skill ceiling.

CONS

• Damage falls off extremely hard on small bosses, which also require positioning.

• Can't compete in personal damage with other classes.

• Requires teammates to pay attention and play around your character system.

• High reliance on CDA (Cooldown Acceleration).

• Fairly squishy on her own as her defensive buffs aren't particularly strong/useful.

Rotation

The concept is simple; don't stop activating Literacy effects, even if the buffs are already active.

First of all, the moment dungeon starts, you want to press V key to roll Fickle Blessing. The roll you're aiming for is "Upon allies using Master Skill, Physical and Magical Attack Power increase by 1%". If you don't hit the roll right away, do your rotation normally and keep pressing V every 5 seconds until you hit it. Once you hit it, press F5 to let your party members know as they should help you stack it by using their Master Class Skill (Stage 1 since it has lower cooldown). Master Class + Hyperactive roll might happen, so slot in one of your Hyperactives as well.

That aside, your rotation should be as follows: Pour Down > Listen (Activates shred) > Strength Skill > Dal Segno (Activates magical attack buff) > Lyrical Flow (2x) (Activates All Damage dealt buff) > Tenacity Skill > Strength Skill (Activates Cooldown Acceleration buff).

Once everything is activated in that sequence, simply dish out damage with your bravery skills, always trying to continue activating Literacy effects to stack your Awakened Will: Tale Spinner passive. So long as you continuously press [Mod] Aero Tornado: Chorus of Unity off CD your buffs should never run out, the only exception being the cooldown acceleration buff as it's short duration, so keep an eye out for that one.

Note that the defense shred can be cleansed by bosses going Hyperarmor. Should that be the case, remember to reapply it by using Tenacity + Tenacity (which you should be pressing anyway to refresh Pour Down buff). You'll likely have lots of time to do so during downtime since Prophetess' cds aren't that great.

Combines well with:

• Any CDA source, as she struggles heavily with cooldowns on her own.
• Several magical synergy DPS (Centurion, Mischief, Mad Paradox, Daybreaker, etc.) Prophetess buffs are very good, combining them with a few other magical DPS with good buffs/debuffs creates a very high DPS party due to everyone contributing damage and support. She does not perform as good in hypercarry parties (Twins Picaro, Aether Sage, etc.)
• Any healer with some form of Damage Reduction, as she’s extremely squishy.
