Bluhen Guide
by Hue
Last update: Jan 31, 2026, 8:13 PM
Character Introduction:
Bluhen is a Healer-class character with skills designed to heal and support ally's damage. His core damage skills specializes in fast clearing and effective DPS against giant bosses. His passive skills & awakening system allow him to run very fast (often referred to ‘flying’ due to the high speed) compared to other characters in the game, making him an ideal character for fast clears in normal dungeons while providing support to allies. While his healing abilities might be inferior to other Healer-class characters in this game, when piloted well he is a very fun and satisfying character to master.
His gameplay is fast-paced as he is required to constantly cast his skills. This makes him one of the most tedious (perhaps tiring) characters to play, therefore is not recommended to new players.
This guide has been made to encourage the healer/support style gameplay (by design). Playing him as a DPS unit is generally not recommended as his kit heavily revolves around buffing party members than himself. Ideally, it is recommended to focus on supporting your group and make sure the buffs are constantly refreshed than dealing damage.
Chapter 1: The Essence of Bluhen
Noble Pledge: Eid
Enables the use of Edel Eids. As you use skills that respond to Eids, your Bluhen will either consume 3x Eids of the same color (known as Edel Eids) or 1 Eid (used from the biggest Eid in the center, then left bottom to top), or none according to your current status. It is very important to always have your Eids "loaded" as failing to consume an Eid gives you the least amount of damage and zero synergy to your group.
Swaying El Keim—what is this?
This is a Bluhen-specific debuff status that is applied to enemies by skills described to grant Swaying El Keim which increases the damage deals on the affected enemies. Unfortunately, this does not affect the DPS performance of your group members—only benefits your damage input.
Alchemy Oath
The most important skill as this skill is what allows you fully control the color of your Eids. Casting this skill initially will recharge your Eids if they are under 3 to 5 instantly, pressing the skill after the initial cast will swap the color of Eid from the fixed order of Mut (red) -> Rein (yellow) -> Wille (blue).
Your Bluhen gameplay will revolve around how efficiently and accurately you cast this skill in between your core synergy skills.
Positive Influence
Constantly activating this passive for as long as you can, whenever you can is what determines your supporting grade as Bluhen.
This passive is activated whenever you use a skill that consumes Eids (can be either Edel Eids or 1 Eid of a single color) granting synergy status (buff) for you and your group according to the color of the Eid. Base Ain’s Awakening: Rotation Buff is also changed to benefit the group instead of self.
The buff are as follows:

You can have a maximum of 4 buffs from this passive, 1 of each from using the Eid of the corresponding color. The 4th buff is Base Ain’s passive “Power: Cycle Magic” turned into a group buff due to this passive. Excluding the “Power: Cycle Magic” buff, the 3 buffs from the 3 Eid use lasts only 10 seconds, therefore you must recast skills that consume each of the 3 colors at least once every 10 seconds to maintain all 3 of these buffs.
Edel Eid Response Skills (Edel Eid skills)
Blatt Blume (all 3 colors are used): Aim to have minimum 2, optimally 3 versions of this skill activated.
Tip: make use of title such as “Night Parade of the White-Ghost” for the initial cast of Mut Blatt Blume, followed by a second cast of Rein Blatt Blume and after a rotation of skills to lower the cooldown of the Blatt Blume skill, return to cast the final Wille Blatt Blume.
Rein Blatt Blume has the shortest duration (10 sec.) out of the 3 versions.
Mut Blatt Blume buff lasts 30 seconds.
It is important to check your buff bar to see both of these buff present at all times in a raid environment.
The defense decrease debuff from Wille Blatt Blume lasts 20 seconds and this is applied on the initial hit on enemies (meaning the multi-hits after the initial cast does not apply the debuff) You will need to recast it whenever the enemy enters hyper armor (resets debuff)
The shield break icon is visible on the boss after the initial cast of Wille Blatt Blume.
After enemy enter hyper armor (visible by purple outlines on boss), the shield break icon is removed.

2) Requiem: (Mut and Rein used mainly in raids, Wille only in low-level dungeons) One of Bluhens core DPS skills in Mut and Rein form. Avoid using the Wille version as it has the longest skill animation and does the least amount of damage.
3) Edel Lied: (all 3 versions are used) Second core DPS skill for Bluhen. In raids, you will mostly use the Wille version to apply the additional damage taken debuff on enemies. Use Mut against small bosses, and Rein against big bosses (bosses that are wider than approx. 3 characters standing side by side). The duration of the damage taken increase is 10 seconds, so remember to cast it before the debuff is gone, or whenever the boss enters hyper armor (resets debuffs) much like Wille Blatt Blume.
4) Satz Aurora: (no color, unless using it as a freeze skill) Utility. Your Edel Eid battery skill that gives you (and just you) super armor. Is also used in raids up to Abyss, where you can be expected to freeze as the Wille version of this skill has a wide AOE that freezes enemies for 5 seconds. To freeze successfully, position your character next to the object or below the object as this skill will not freeze the object if they are below your character. In most cases, you use this skill at its neutral state (no color). Use it right after a cast of other Edel Eids skill, given that there is no Satz Aurora present on the map. This is because if you have Alchemy Oath activated with Satz Aurora present on map, it will give you a fixed color of Eids untill the Satz Aurora duration expires, making it difficult to cast a no-color Satz Aurora. Use Alchemy Oath and Satz Aurora together to maximize on sustaining Eids as well as that super armor status to survive knockbacks.
Communion
Communion is one of Bluhen's core passive skills that allows constant skill casts, as long as you understand what skills consume Eid and use it.
Skills that consume Eid will have the following description:
To benefit from this passive, take at least 3 skills that consume Eids, excluding Blatt Blume, Requiem, Edel Lied, and Satz Aurora. As long as you use a skill described as Eid: Cycle it will reduce [Edel Eid Skill]'s cooldown. Sadly, it does not lower the cooldown other Eid:Cycle's skills.
Example 1: Casting [Mod] Diamant Regen will lower the cooldown of Blatt Blume or Requiem, but it will not lower the cd of [Mod] Windhose if [Mod] Windhose is in cooldown.
Example 2: Casting Mut Blatt Blume after Wille Edel Lied will lower the cooldown of the initially casted Wille Edel Lied, as these two skills are both Edel Eid Skill.
This passive will also grant the ‘Communion’ status for 30 seconds to you whenever 1 set of all three Mut, Rein, Wille form of Edel Eid Skill is used.
(1 set example: Mut Blume → Rein Requiem → Wille Edel Lied) Unfortunately, this buff is not shared to allies.

Chapter 2: Key Skills and Skill Traits
This chapter will cover Bluhen's skill slots in PvE. Fortunately, Bluhen has a small selection of useful skills, meaning there is really not much you can choose from. Bluhen's skill trait selection will mainly depend on whether or not the skill is an utility skill or a damage-dealin skill.
Bottomline: choose Empowered/Heavy for DPS skills and Lighter/Haste for utility skills. If it's a buff-type skill, always choose Killing Blow (2) as it directly increases the % value of the buff.
[Mod] Explosion: Schneller Werden [Light]
Used for utility. Casting this skill lowers Edel Eid skill’s cooldown as this skill consumes Eid. Damage of the skill is not good, so the lighter trait is recommended. Not a vital skill and can be replaced with [Mod] Diamant Regen to serve the same purpose.
[Mod] Sakrosankt Zertreten: Feierlich [Heavy]
Bluhen's field clearing skill. Always cast this is Wille form, as it increases the AOE of the skill. Vital skill to obtain using Force Book [E].
Schwert Platzen [Killing Blow (1)]
Use it to enlarge all of Bluhen’s skill AOE by 30%. However, this skill can be replaced by other skills by carrying Giant Apple/Battle Elixir/Giant’s Stone Apple/Giant’s Wonder drug. Recommended to take another Eid consuming skill in its place for smoother skill rotation in raid.
[Mod] Diamant Regen [Empowered] for PvE, [Ruthless] for PvP. Essential skill to obtain using the Force Book (A). Also deals decent damage against large monsters.
Wind Einfallen [Regenerating (2)] (player preference). The 150 resistance shred is applied on the initial hit (opening chant), so it is recommended to immediately explode the El sphere after casting.
Blatt Blume [Haste]
Alchemy Oath [Killing Blow (1)]
Requiem [Heavy]
Edel Lied [Heavy]
Luft Versprengen [Light] (player preference) is a self-buff that increases all speeds by 10%. Use it in normal dungeons or in special cases that need additional speed boost.
Stom Stark [Empowered]. Mod version is only used in PvP. Generally not used in raids due to the jump requirement for casting.
Lind Scheinen [Heavy]
Mut [Mod] Lind Scheinen will generally have the better DPS output unless you use it against a very large boss (like in Flegas Labyrinth) with multiple hitboxes. It is difficult to test this skill in every boss scenario, therefore [Mod] Lind Scheinen is recommended, if you were to use this to DPS.
Damage on the Huge Wooden Pullet (taller boss, no defense) in training room
Damage on the on the Long Wooden Puppet (wider boss, no defence) in training room.
For all 2 scenarios and a personal test in 18-4 phase 3, [Mod] Lind Scheinen performed better than the non-mod version.
Vertrauen Melodie [Killing Blow (2)]
Verschmelzen [Empowered] for PvE and [Evil] for PvP.
[Mod] Windhose [Haste]. Essential skill to obtain Force by purchasing from NPC Camilla or from the 3rd Class Change Support Cube.
The CDA buff is given to characters within the AOE of the tornado, therefore position your Bluhen slightly behind your group members and never on a platform above the group member as this skill does not hit below the level your character is currently at.
Satz Aurora [Haste]
Chapter 3: Equipment and Builds
Skill Ring Type: Bravery
Amethystine Prophecy - Crimson Set
Tenebrous Armor Set
1st line: max MP (low priority)
2nd line: (highest priority and best to max first)
Top: Party Magic attack or Crit damage 10%
Bottom: Group HP or Damage Reduction 10%
Gloves: Group All Skill Damage 10%
Shoes: Group All Speed Buff 10%
3rd line (medium priority, max after 2nd line)
Support build: 40% Protective Shield or Skill Reset if you struggle with skill cd (read *note)
Damage build: Titan Slayer (8% damage against bosses under 80% HP)
Exascale Armor Set
Support build: Green with group attack speed shoes (the rest is same as Damage build)
Damage build: Red with continuous damage top OR skill reset circuits (player preference), boss damage shoes
Many of Bluhen's skills have long animation and require you to use more than 80% of your skills at least once every 5 to 10 seconds due to his short passive durations, meaning skill reset won't be an effective choice for his overall damage output. Even if you trigger the skill reset effect, you might need to use other non-dps skill to refresh your buffs. It is recommended to practice using a Amethystine Prophecy - Crimson Set first and see how the skill cooldown works for you and if it is still too much, you can try for a skill reset set for Tenebrous for your support build.
Artifact Accessory Set
Green: For raids and if there is no other green set user present
Yellow: if there is a green set user present in group
Chapter 4: Skill Presets
Raid Preset (with freezing mech)
Verschmelzen (LShift) to trigger 19-4 title effect, Wind Einfallen (R) to shred elemental resistance)
19-4 Applicator Preset
[Mod] Explosion: Schneller Werden (R) can be replaced with [Mod] Diamant Regen, but Scheller Werden has a faster casting animation which allows a smoother gameplay.
DPS Bluhen Preset
This preset is probably the most optimal set to take as a DPS Bluhen, given that your skill cooldown and equipment can handle the responsibility. Main focus is to activate all of the buffs provided by Bluhen’s both passive and special active skills and then cast core DPS skills as much as you can. Remember: Bluhen’s buffs also buff yourself, not just the group, so it is important to maintain it while you DPS. You cannot skip on maintaining his synergy and focus only on DPS.

Chapter 5: The End?
This chapter will mention some of the things that Bluhen currently struggles with as well as tips to enhance your overall gameplay.
Satz Aurora Eid Reload Speed
Eid is recharged one by one, making it difficult to cast 2 Edel Eid skill (example: Blatt Blume followed by Requiem) in succession. You could, however cast other Edel Eid skill after Requiem, as the skill has a chance to restore the Edel Eid consumed immediately after cast. Otherwise, it is recommended to cast 1 Eid consuming skill like [Mod] Windhose in between every Edel Eid skill cast.
Skill Positioning & Knocking over Enemies
The optimal distance to position Rein Requiem against small bosses.
Note: The positioning needs to be adjusted according to your character’s size, as the range of Rein Requiem will be changed. Practice makes perfect.
Some small bosses are knocked over when you case Mut Requiem due to its blackhole effect. Knocked over enemies take 75% reduced damage so it is important to avoid doing this. This is not for every case of small bosses, since some have knockback resistance (like 18-4 p1/p2) and will not be affected by Mut Requiem’s blackhole effect.

AoE Comparison of skills affected by the Wille Eid, with/without additional Giant status
[Mod] Windhose comparison
[Mod] Windhose without Wille Eid consumption (smallest)
[Mod] Windhose with Wille Eid consumption (range 30% gain)
[Mod] Windhose without Wille Eid consumption, but with Giant status (Schwert Platzen/Giant Apple/Fighter Potion) (range 30% gain)
it is same as the [Mod] Windhose with the WIlle Eid consumption but without Giant status.
(note: image was taken from a zoomed out POV compared to the previous screenshots due to the size. Please refer to the background’s objects for scale.)
[Mod] Windhose with Wille Eid consumption (range 30% gain), with Giant status (additional range 30% gain)
Has the biggest range (longer) and width (height) of the tornado.
Tips on maintaining Bluhen’s Heals
Bluhen has the lowest healing ability (9%) therefore it is essential to always have Rein Blatt Blume active, especially if the party has mana-hungry classes.
Use the Secret Dungeon title in case of emergency as Bluhen’s Heals are slow to heal allies back to full health.
Also recommended to take 2nd Path synergy 3/6 to activate Cloudy Sunshower to assist in healing.
