Developer Notes

Serpentium and Doom Aporia difficulty adjustments, new area dungeons and Giant Boss, new Magic Stones and accessories - all content announced in the Summer 2025 update notice has been implemented.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to adventurers who have anticipated the updates and experienced them with us.
Let's fill you in on the next updates scheduled for October about which our adventurers might be wondering.

  1. New Secret Dungeon

    • We're preparing a new Secret Dungeon related to Tirnog's Shadow Earl's Castle for the 6th stage. It is scheduled to release on October 23. The story takes place in the abandoned castle, after Aren left.

    • You can obtain a higher amount of ED than when clearing the existing 5th stage.

    • Secret Dungeon Weekly Reward Count Increase Ticket and Secret Dungeon Clear Ticket can be used up to stage 6.

    • Reward count ticket improved to be automatically consumed from your inventory when retrying the dungeon instead of having to manually apply it in the village.

  2. Balance Patch

    • Next Balance Patch will be released on October 23. We are preparing a patch that considers raids after the difficulty decrease through the summer update, as well as performance of each character in the newly added general dungeons.

  3. Season Pass EoS

    • Both Ann's Growth Growth Support Pass and regular Elrios Pass sales will be discontinued by October 23.

    • Considering the rewards from events and Prof. Pho Growth Guide, the Season Pass rewards did not meet our adventurers' expectations.

    • Providing decent rewards through events, Prof. Pho and Season Pass at the same time is impossible due to content longevity and game revenue constraints. Instead, we will improve event rewards and provide Mark customization in another way.

    • Since there won't be a new Season Pass, both ongoing passes will be extended by 2 weeks to ensure a smooth experience while the event is departing.

Fixes & Improvements

  1. Nereid, Blue/Red Millennium Fox, Miracle Alchemist and Combat Class Hair can now be dyed.

Character Gameplay

  1. Metamorphy - fixed not dealing damage properly with [Mod] Lightning Bolt: Need Therapy.

  2. Demersio - when using Abyss Scatter with a lower CP value than previously applied, the buff will be updated even if it was used with less CP.

  3. Prime Operator - fixed [Mod] Barbecue - Wholly Grilled sometimes hitting abnormally.

Oh boy, more single player content! Exactly what people want in their massively multiplayer online game!

it is an m(?)mo, and i’ve met people who do want to play with others and be in a functioning community.

but with much of the later-game playerbase being effectively a self-righteous circle-jerk of telling others to job-change for other’s convenience, being the most pompous and incompetent “teachers”, threatening their own lives at the slightest inconvenience and setback, and overall festering into an obnoxious atmosphere, all for the sake of farming increasingly douchey raid functions for breadcrumbs to cobble into a loaf barely functional garbage, it’s not so weird that many might be ok with going as solo as possible.

these devs are bad at actually sustaining a community, but they can let a cult gorge on a stream of crap they’ll make any excuse for.

… so i say about an upcoming dungeon that only relatively few people (most being part of that “cult”) can enter. i dunno, maybe even they need a break from each other.

also, train sd (the as-of-this comment’s-time newest intentionally-designed-to-be single-player thing) came out almost a year ago, and raid solo modes are updates for older things, and between them was a raid that immediately followed another raid, and the last solo content before all of that that was a year before it with door sd, reformatted sds in general, and Lithia, which are all about 3 years after Gaia, with 2 raids and 2 giant bosses in between them. it’s been on-off in regards to permanent mainline solo content since raid-meta’s been bloating for a while now.

Honestly im glad there is more single player content. No way i have to class change or wait half hour to form party because a dude with +20M CP or a try harder wants to run ROSSO-BERTHE RAID in less of 2 mins.
Same happens with +3 members dungeons, where I have to wait almost all day to clear quests/daily runs.
The BP was more reliable to be lazy for jump events or clear phoru quests instead of wasting $40-80 and daily play

I wonder where that conclusion comes from. Why nerf the raid just to nerf the characters? I don't think that's happening.

“changes that aren’t sensible” are unfortunately not off the table given prior experience with these devs.

also, a lot of the playerbase has a penchant for whining about things supposedly getting too easy and letting supposedly unskilled players get to places too fast and some classes supposedly not fitting their community-prescribed role enough, and apparently they whine with the elitist pissy fury that the devs heed. because “taking off your own gear to make things as hard for yourself as what lets you stroke your ego about” is somehow some kind of far-off and unthinkable concept.

in effect, it’s a combination of very low expectations for developer/community interactions and prior experience with balance patches that did nerf some characters in some very not great ways for an odd rationale, given that what late-game players used to garbage and what the devs enable can be summed up as “I Wanna Be The Guy totes wasn’t making fun of asinine cheapness”.

Perhaps it’s a silly and asinine thing to complain about since I’m looking back at Elsword every once in a while, but what actually made me quit the game was when they changed Ain’s Richter passive. Specifically, that one that had CD reduction. I loved spamming XXX command actions because it was just very efficient, sometimes I’d get lucky and be able to use my Viert main skill multiple times in a few seconds alongside with MP refilling fast.

… Then they changed it so that now you had to spam across different skills, no longer could you spam the same skill over and over. They took away the command action giving a chance to halve CD of skill. And instead made it fixed. Which radically changed my experience, in a period where I was experiencing burn out. Then I decided to just quit altogether, and, well, it’s been 3+ years since then. Like… bleugh. Not even the rewamp to grinding experience makes me want to come back, and I’m busy these days with university anyways. Sorry, I know it’s a bit of rant, but I wanted to add my anecdoctal experience.

After reviewing the cost of the pass in KR server it equates to 20-30$/ Euros Running conversions on release vs. now (yes NA Jacked the price up to 40$)

However over time Due to all the QoL changes implemented and towards phoru, all the rewards drastically Fell off Value wise to where the passes actually suck now excluding a random gem.

Im pretty happy with the removal even if it costs me free pots

I find it funny how they aren’t even trying to announce a replacement or improvement because they are just too greedy to release anything that is a blatantly good deal.
