Gembliss

Gembliss Guide

by Dayen

Last update: May 30, 2026, 10:15 PM

Overview

Gembliss (GB) is a very strong hypercarry, who can also enable other party members to spam their skills more often via party Cooldown Reduction (CDR) and grants increased survivability via Damage Reduction as well as reduced special ressource usage.
She is very easy to learn and play, but requires external mana recovery to function, which makes her quite bad in solo content.

Pros

  • Easy to learn, has almost no difficulty in her kit.

  • Strong regardless of boss size.

  • Doesn’t need to use the title “The Setting Sun” due to her outstanding personal CDR.

Cons

  • Needs high El Resonance with maxed CDR (but having around 31 ~ 32% CDR in details is fine), MP Usage Decrease and Max MP. (Even this isn’t enough — at least one healer in the team is necessary, best case 2 or more.)

Skills

Solo DPS

Shared DPS (when you have to use Power Stone for party CDR)

Fill empty spots with Force Skills of your choice (it is recommended to put the skill “Will Save You” (the Rosso Challenge Mode Force) in the free Q spot).

Having the Active Skill “Mining” (Lv. 35) in the secondary skill bar will reduce the risk of accidentally using it in the middle of the dungeon.

In theory, the skills on A (“Charging Gem”; Lv. 1), S (“Guard Stone”; Lv. 70), W (“Compressor”; Lv. 50) and D (“Drum Cutter”; Lv. 35) are not needed for a proper rotation. GB’s Lv. 90 Passive “The Path I’ve Chosen” gives her the possibility to only rotate the same four skills. Using “Charging Gem” for a fully buffed “Power Stone” (Lv. 25) Attack buff at the start of the dungeon is recommended. But if you are using the Active Skill “Mining” (Lv. 35) it will also instantly fill your Gemstones regardless. “Guard Stone” (Lv. 70) enhances the team’s survivability, especially if used at the right moment, and provides infinite ressources for its duration. “Compressor” (Lv. 50) is nice to have for Red Exascale (Armor) stacks and to activate the accessory “Maestro Halo”, or similar effects.

Your main damage skill is “Mighty Mining” (Lv. 95). This is the right skill to use under the green Exascale buff.

Should the team CDR skill “Power Stone” (Lv. 25) be put in the Transcendence skill slots (far right of the skill bar)?

  • You can force yourself to be a proper team CDR source by placing “Power Stone” into the Transcendence Skill Slot, but it is not recommended. Every 20s, the first used skill of the Transcendence Skill Slot will have its damage increased by 20%. If you do not keep track of this properly, you might accidentally increase the damage of “Power Stone” by 20% instead of using it on “Mighty Mining” (Lv. 95) or any other useful damage skill.

Skill tips

  • The animation of “Grinder Strike” (Lv. 55) can be cut if you chain another skill fast enough or by simply keeping an arrow key pressed. Similar results can be achieved for “Mighty Mining” (Lv. 95), “[Mod] Spodumene” (Lv. 20) and “Drum Cutter” (Lv. 35).

  • From “Mining” (Lv. 35) you always want to get the Drill Relic as it boosts your main damage skills.
To get this Relic, you need to use this skill near a strong normal mob (e.g. the “Gentleman Android” in Fabricated City (Serpentium) should be considered a strong normal mob), a middle boss (easily recognized by the outstanding icon in the mini map) or a boss. On normal mobs, you should usually get the Cutter Relic, which can be fine for some clearing. If you use Mining with no enemies around, you will get a Gemstone Relic, which is not recommended. Gemstone doesn’t boost your damage, nor is the MP regeneration helping much.
If you are standing near a boss, but you got the wrong Relic (because the boss is still invulnerable or similar OR you used “Mining” multiple times which results into an overwrite of the Drill Relict), use “Charging Gem” (Lv. 1) to quickly get to 10 Gemstones, then awaken. This will reset all skill cooldowns, including Mining, and give you another chance to get the Drill Relic. Another option is using the title The Setting Sun, if the cooldown reset of the Gemstones is not usable yet.

Skill rotation:

  1. Mining

  2. Charging Gem (can also be skipped or used later on point 4.)

  3. Power Stone (Info: The cooldown reduction of 3s (regarding 2025-10-23 KR Patch) is still sufficient to let you cycle three damage skills and Power Stone)

  4. Here decide if you prefer to get some more Exa stacks by using Compressor, Guard Stone into Grinder Strike and then Mighty Mining OR instantly cast Mighty Mining. Both options are fine — your teammates will not activate all of their buffs/debuffs right away either.

  5. [Mod] Spodumene

  6. Repeat to spam Mighty Mining, Spodumene, Grinder Strike and Power Stone (skill damage relevance follows this order).

Positioning:

GB seems to deal the most damage if you are standing close to the boss.

In some situations, you might want to stand between/very close to two or more hitboxes to get more hits (e.g.: Orchestra Hall Phase 2, Wilting Tower: Flight Phase 1).

Explicit Repositioning Tipps for Doom Aporia:

  • In Wilting Tower: Flight (Phase 1) you can stand next to a claw, on a more middle side.

  • In Wilting Tower: Fall (Phase 2) you may stand on the far top left platform, which might disappear if it is hit by attacks too many times. In this position, you will hit more consistent, as your skills may also hit when the dragon moves backwards for some patterns. Stand on the stable platform right next to the dragon when he is in the groggy state.

Other tipps:

  • Every 15s, you can reset all your skills with 10 Gemstones by (re-)entering the awakening state. If your mana supplement allows it, you can place Onions (Guild Food) in your Quick Slots to force an stant reset of “Mighty Mining” (Lv. 95) right after its usage.

  • Gembliss can reset all her skills very fast, so using The Setting Sun is not needed. Yet, you may use Night Parade of the White-Ghost to reset “Mighty Mining” (Lv. 95) if suitable.

Accessory Recommendation

  • Antenna Earring (only if using Exascale):
Stacking Exascale (Exa) on GB is extremely fast. You can decide to activate the Earring and reduce your Exa stacks a few seconds before a damage window starts, but you will need a stable MP recovery source if you want to spam all your skills. If MP recovery is not there, you can give yourself a few more seconds and constantly use “Charging Gem” (Lv. 1), “Guard Stone” (Lv. 70), “Compressor” (Lv. 50), “Drum Cutter” (Lv. 35) and “Power Stone” (Lv. 25) to restack while consuming less mana.

  • Maestro Halo:
If use the Active Skill “Compressor” (Lv. 50), you won’t need to perform Command Attacks, which might otherwise disturb your skill rotation. You basically only need to pay attention to the Awakening requirement of this accessory.

Socketing/Teams

  • GB’s skills are mostly affected by Action Speed. Having around 120%–122% is sufficient. The main issue in solo scenarios is usually mana depletion, not speed.

  • If you play in a team with characters that use special ressources (e.g. Nisha Labyrinth, Centurion, Catastrophy, etc.) you may use “Guard Stone” (Lv. 70) with three Gemstones to provide them with infinite ressources for 5s.

  • Critical/Maximize recommendation (-30% Crit Debuff)

    • Critical: 94.23%

    • Maximize: 69.65%

Exascale Color Recommendation

It is recommended to run Red Exascale armor with “Continuous Damage” Circuits on Top Piece. Reset would cause a damage loss on Gembliss, as she doesn’t need any additional Cooldown Reduction due to her natural speedy skill cycle.

Atma’Ram Accessories

Similarly to the choice of the Exascale, Atma of Flame or Atma of Grove set effects should be used. Atma of Flame is quite expensive to maintain, so it is recommended to go for Grove which from personal calculations results in more damage while also giving some Mana upon Awakening. The buffed Action Speed from Atma of Flame is great, but in terms of damage and the Mana requirements of the character, Atma of Grove seems to be superior. Remember that you may need to adjust your sockets of critical chances.
