Elsword

Immortal

The swordsman with endless potential, claiming the power of darkness as his own.

After coming in contact with the El, Elsword manages to accept the power of Dark El as his own. Now his old sword felt too light, unable to hold his new found power. Instead of seeking for a new sword, Elsword decides to create his own, combining all his summoned swords. A sword, black as night is created. It was much heavier than he expected, but Elsword knew this was perfect to unleash his true potential.

Immortal Guide

by Bufalo21

Overview:

Immortal is an extremely strong DPS against giant bosses, but also consistent against smaller ones. In terms of synergy with the party, it is not the best (Physical Damage Received and 1.3 CDA), but holds some value.

PROS:

  • High damage against giant bosses
  • No mana issues
  • Excellent burst skills
  • Excellent skill casting speed
  • Good dungeon clearing

CONS:

  • Synergy is not optimal
  • Requires high concentration to maximize damage
  • Requires positioning for each skill

Skill Bar:

Depending on the size of the boss, swap Unlimited Blade: Fan of Blades and Flame Geyser: Hail of Blades.

The same applies to Triple Geyser and Blade Circle.

Sword Shield can be replaced with another damage skill, but personally, having the ability to efficiently cancel skill animations helps a lot in DPS.

Gear:

As far as equipment is concerned, I recommend going for continuous damage. Although it can be fun to play with resets, I strongly advise against it due to passive factors.

Clearing and Boss:

As far as clearing is concerned, the best skills are Blade Circle and Final Strike (after its rework). Sword Fall can also be an excellent alternative, but due to the speed at which the swords fall, I do not recommend it as a main skill.

On the other hand, for bosses, the main skills are:

  • Sword Fall (mainly when the boss is long)
  • Hail of Blades (when the boss is small/medium)
  • Fan of Blades (when the boss is large/tall)

In addition to these three, there are other skills that can increase DPS, but not as significantly.

Passive optimization:

  • The most important passive - Master of Infinity (Lv. 90).

After using Infinite Chaser (Mod) and Infinite Strike a total of 3 times, the 4th skill is completely free (no CD and no MP consumption).

  • Memory of the Sword (Lv. 99)

In all honesty, this is a very underrated passive, as it “forces” you to count every single Cornwell skill to get 20% All Skill Damage.

Let's take a step back and see how this passive works.

Each Cornwell skill we use will charge a stack for a maximum of 3. Taking the passive mentioned above as an example, the difference is that here the enhanced skill is not the 4th but the 3rd.

For example:

  • Chaser > Sword Fall > Flame Geyser: Hail of Blades (20% more damage)

  • Brutal Slayer (Lv. 35)

This passive is very difficult to control, but with enough practice, it allows you to constantly use your skills without downtime.

How it works:

  • Before rework: Each hit/throwable Consumable item (Orb/Spear) used by your character has a 20% chance of reducing All Special Active Skill Cooldown by 10 seconds.
  • After rework: Can only be activated with Cornwell skills.

  • Sharp Sword (Lv. 60)

Another passive that is not very easy to control, as 99% of the time it will conflict with Memory of the Sword.

How it works: casting 3 Cornwell skills will grant 42% Ignore Defense for 10 seconds.

Note: This passive is additive to the Critical trait, so a skill like Sword Fall will ignore 92% defense when Critical is selected.

  • Awakened Will: Infinity Sword (Lv. 70)

An extremely easy passive to use that provides 25% Attack Increase and 20% Boss Damage Increase.

Activating it is practically automatic, you just need to hit the boss/mob in dungeon.

  • Sudden Strike (Lv. 40)

Another extremely easy to activate passive.

  • Before rework: Each attack has a 20% chance to activate 100% Critical and 20% Critical Damage boost for this attack. (The Critical effect ignores Critical Resistance found in Abyss and later dungeons).
  • After rework: Permanent 20% Critical, and gain a total of 20% Critical Damage upon using Special Active skills 4 times.
