Developer Notes

With this maintenance, the Soulmate System where you can form a lifelong bond below the Eternal El Tree will be implemented.
You can receive the same benefits as the Marriage System without restrictions.

However, please note one cannot have both a Partner and a Soulmate at the same time.

Below is a guide regarding the Challenge Mode Raid improvements to reduce player fatigue.
Unlike other Bosses in Pruinaum Challenge Mode, Haivan is always floating in the air, making him hard to hit.
In addition, we're reviewing how debuff immunity impacts difficulty and will improve the way debuffs are applied.
Additionally, we fixed Hadron's Copy (Blue) Link pattern.

Lastly, we're excited (!) to announce that Wiz Magician's Drop Poising skill is being fixed this week as well.
This skill only triggers when an enemy is present in the skill area.
You couldn't memorize it because it would prevent you from triggering it, so since this update Drop Poising can be memorized.

Through memorize cast, even if no enemy is present, one flask will be dropped near the caster's location.
We also improved the way other skills are triggered through Memorize even if there is no enemy present.

Varnimyr, Pruinaum Challenge Mode Raid Improvements

Varnimyr

[Common]

• Changed the Frightening Flame (Debuff) to Frightening Embers (Debuff).

Frightening Embers reduce Movement/Action Speed as it stacks and will change to Frightening Flame once it reaches 15 stacks or more.

[Remnant of Crimson Calamity]

• Remnant of Crimson Calamity Zone 1 and 2 have an increased cooldown of all attack patterns.

• Crimson Stone Fall does not occur during Fire Pillar anymore.

• The pattern of throwing fireballs while moving backward will be changed to grant immunity to debuffs, but instead of invincibility, it will render the character unable to perform actions while having debuff immunity.

[Crimson Soul]

• Increased the cooldown of Death Reaping (instant kill), Memory of Crimson Flames (healing pattern) and Memory of Crimson Calamity (instant kill) patterns.

• Death Reaping no longer drops Crimson Seeds during the pattern.

• Successive Reaping no longer immune to debuffs but remains immune to disabling status ailments (Freeze, Petrify, Bind, etc.).

[Crimson Calamity]

• Increased the cooldown on all attacks.

• Fire Pillar no longer spawns new Crimson Seeds.

• Reduced the push rate of the Crimson Storm.

• During the pattern Crimson Flame Storm, the movement speed of the summoned memories of Crimson Flame will decrease.

• Memories of Fire will now not be generated on all platforms but randomly according to the number of platforms.

• A ceiling is added to 3rd and 4th head when casting Fire Pillars.

• The Jump Pad from 3rd to 4th Head will be initially inactive.

[Silent Observer]

• Improved the Dark Energy Discovery Pattern so no new Spikes are summoned and currently summoned ones are destroyed.

[Dark Observer]

• Improved the Dark Energy Discovery Pattern so no new Spikes are summoned and currently summoned ones are destroyed.

[Crimson Eye]

• Improved the Mega Laser Vision Pattern so no new Spikes are summoned and the currently summoned ones are destroyed.

• Improved the Thorn Pillars pattern so no new Spikes are summoned and the currently summoned ones are destroyed.

• Increased the cooldown of Grey Spikes, Watchful Laser Vision and Death Prison appearing.

[Recluse (Fire)]

• Reduced the time it takes for the Fire Trap to disappear when stepping on it.

• Increased the cooldown of all attacks.

• Changed the number of consecutive triggers for the Fire Runaway pattern from 5 to 2.

• Crimson Seed (Release) pattern changed debuff immunity to immunity to disabling status ailments.

[Recluse (Demon)]

• Increased the cooldown of all attacks.

• Increased the cooldown of the Observer's attacks.

[Dark Recluse]

• Increased the cooldown of all attacks.

• Increased the cooldown of the Observer's attacks.

• Black Spikes summoning now briefly pauses the Observer.

• Time interval in between the Black Spike summoning increased in case there are many of them.

• Changed HP threshold for triggering the Black Spikes summoning.

• Observer's Prison pattern can now only spawn up to 6 prisons.

• Added a ceiling.

• Reduced the attack range of summoning Alter Ego.

Pruinaum

[Hadron's Copy (Red)]

• During Groggy, changed debuff immunity to immunity to disabling ailments.

• Increased cooldown of all attacks.

[Hadron's Copy (Blue)]

• Increased cooldown of all attacks.

[Hadron]

• Increased cooldown of all attacks.

• Prevent Leap & Fall on dead characters.

• Increased the amount of Spheres during the Descent pattern.

[Haivan]

• Increased cooldown of all attacks.

• Changed so debuffs can be applied after his patterns end.

• Reduced the explosion range of Carpet Bomb and Head Bomb.

• Carpet Bomb and Drone Patterns will no longer occur while someone has a Head Bomb.

Partner & Soulmate System

New relationship content - Partner & Soulmate System is added.

Partner

How to become a partner

• Use the [Friendship Necklace] item to apply for a partner.

• The [Friendship Necklace] can be purchased at the Item Mall or the EP Shop.

Partner Benefits

• You can use Partner-only skills.

Skill - Heavenly Wisdom - Recovers 50% of HP/MP

• A Partner-only chat is available.

• Once a week, you will receive a Partner Anniversary Cube by mail to celebrate each week of being a Partner. (Partner Anniversary Cubes are not given away on the first day of being a Partner.)

• You can check the relationship information through the "Relationship" Community UI tab.

Soulmate

How to make a Soulmate

• Use the [Token of Soulmates] item in the "Partner" state to proceed with El's Pledge. (Can only be purchased through the Item Mall.)

• Proceed with the El's Pledge in the Eternal El's Tree Forest using the given admission ticket.

Soulmate Benefits

• You will receive El's Pledge Celebration Cube by mail. (Only on the day of the ceremony)

• You can use Soulmate exclusive skills.

• You can use a Soulmate dedicated chat.

• Once a week, you will receive an El's Pledge Anniversary Cube through the mailbox to celebrate each week of being a Soulmate. (El's Pledge Anniversary Cubes are not given away on the first day of being a Soulmate.)

• You can acquire titles exclusive to Soulmates.

• (Title) Under the Tree of the Eternal El (30 Days) - EXP Gain +20% (Dungeon), Item Drop Rate +10% (Dungeon)

• Additional titles will also be given away by mail after certain periods when maintaining the Soulmate relationship status.

• Exclusive weekly quests for Soulmates can be performed 1 year after the day of the Pledge ceremony.

• You can acquire Avatar cubes exclusively for Soulmates.

Community UI Revamp

After the maintenance on 6/8 (Thu), the community window UI will be changed to match the new UI design.

Current Location Tab UI

The existing "All" tab will be changed to "Current Location".

1. You can check the channel and village information where the current character is located, as well as inspect other characters.

2. The "User Information" and "Inspect" are removed from the right-click menu in the character list.

3. The party request button that was displayed in the Current Location tab UI will be removed.

4. The channel switching button in the friend search result UI in the Practice PvP Room will be removed when searching for friends.

Friends Tab UI

After the maintenance on 6/8 (Thu), characters that are not mutually friends (waiting for acceptance, etc.) will be removed from the friend list.

1. Displays the currently connected character portrait icon, name and status message.

   • The status message can be entered directly after clicking.

   • Online/Away status can be set via the checkbox.

   • If no in-game activity is detected for 5 minutes or more in town, it will be changed to Away.

2. You can see the list of blocked characters through the Block/Unblock menu, the character icon (portrait, level) and nickname. You can check this information even when the blocked character is offline. (Profile messages are not displayed)

3. The "User Information" function that was displayed when right-clicking a user on the friend list is removed.

4. You can adjust the transparency of the 'Chat' message UI.

5. When deleting a friend from the friend list, you were previously displayed as offline to the other person. After the maintenance, in such cases, friends will be mutually removed.

Bonding Tab UI

1. The Partner/Soulmate page is added.

Mentor-Pupil

1. In the Mentor-Pupil tab, information of both characters will be displayed. (Previously, only the opposing character information was displayed.)

2. A new guide for the Mentor-Pupil content will be added.

Events

An additional ED compensation equal to the previous one will be paid to Lu/Ciel character players through the maintenance. Please note that you cannot receive the compensation on characters where it does not fit their ED storing capacity, as it is dependent on the level of your character.

Love vs Friendship, The Choice of Fate!

[Event Target] Characters with level 10 or higher (per account)
[Event Details] During the event's period, you can increase affinity by selecting the desired El Search Party member through the UI at the top of the in-game screen.
Acquire Tokens of Love or Friendship by building affinity through event quests, and [CoBo] Couple Ring from NPC Ariel.
Can be exchanged for [CoBo] Friendship Necklace, [Luriel] Flower Rainy Day (Ver. Love), [Luriel] Flower Rainy Day (Ver. Friendship), etc.

Cash Shop Update

Avatar: Ambience Parametric

• Sales Period: June 8, 2023 after maintenance ~ July 6, 2023 before maintenance

• A dazzling urban hologram Avatar: "Ambience Parametric" will be released.

• Hair items are two-tone and can be separately dyed for each part.

Custom Sit Motion: Fresh Memories of That Day

• Sales Period: June 8, 2023 after maintenance ~ July 6, 2023 before maintenance

• Our own special place on the lake, Custom Motion: Fresh Memories of That Day, will be released.

• The image features the Avatar: Soulmate of the Pledge.

Fixes / Improvements

Character

1. The Drop Poising skill is improved to utilize the Memorize function.

2. Fixed an issue where the icon didn't match the status of Homunculus.

3. The problem that the buff effect of Fickle Blessing related to skill usage was not applied when using skills without a casting motion is fixed.

4. [Enhanced] Energy Needles tooltip will now mention "Electric spear's attack power decreases over time", which was missing.

5. An issue when the skill size does not increase when hitting with the [Mod] Divine Stigma skill is fixed.

6. Fixed an issue where the Falling damage part was not inflicted when using the Cascade skill on the ground.

7. An issue where the Path Breaker effect persisted even after death of the provider is fixed.

8. Fixed Event Horizon (Stage 4) being reflected in the dungeon end results window even if it did not hit an enemy under certain circumstances.

9. When equipping or replacing equipment in dungeon as LuCiel, improved to automatically switch to the stat representative character.

10. The problem of not hitting huge enemies with the Heartless ID skill is fixed.

Dungeon (Challenge Mode)

1. Silent Observer - fixed an issue where small eyes would overlap in the same spot if the instant death debuff was applied under certain circumstances.

2. Silent Observer - fixed an issue where the big eyes would not move to the opposite side if disabling status ailments were applied.

3. Hadron's Copy (Blue) - fixed the Link pattern not exploding after a certain time.

4. Hadron - fixed an issue where the instant death debuff was not applied in certain circumstances.

5. Crimson Eye - fixed an issue where Spikes were not summoned in certain circumstances.

Other

1. In certain renovated UIs, the problem of buttons not being initialized when reopening windows while holding down the button is fixed.

2. The speech bubble displaying after completion of Prof. Pho's Guide should show up properly now.

3. The awkward part of Sanctuary of the Soul icon in Dungeon Selection UI is fixed.

4. Fixed a bug that made Guild Fountain effects overlap when clicking 'refresh'.

5. As the new bonding skill "Heavenly Wisdom" is added, the phrases in sockets, skills and buff tooltips related to the "Heavenly Love" skill have been changed. They are integrated and marked as 'Bonding Skill'.
