Something i have been disliking a lot from the the balances is how weird and selective they feel while also killing some of the fun of a character, CC used to be the tank or protector character, but everything related to that god nerfed to hell, EW got her homming misiles and health/MP orb removed and got nothing in change, while Azura can still keep her way better orbs that restore a ton of mp , Lord Azoth got her ability to make other small removed , while i can see it can be potentially anoying… why only her? So far as i can remenber natal chart still makes you small and unlike her you dont get a say.
I can’t think of more examples but i know a lot more characters have lost a lot of what made them interesting on the first place when they came out, stuff that made them unique, whats the point of having manny character if in the end they will end doing all the same, it could be balanced yes and can maybe end stuff like people searching for especific clases for a party, but making them a carbon copy of others doesn’t feel like a solution…

Here’s the overall reception according to AI translator

“These are user replies to the balance-patch announcement — overwhelmingly negative, mostly sarcastic and angry. Quick summary of the main themes and tone in plain English:

Overall tone

  • Frustrated, mocking, and distrustful. Many replies use sarcasm (“wow, amazing,” “legendary”), ridicule the devs, and accuse them of careless or greedy behavior.

  • High-level reaction: players feel the patch was rushed, poorly tested, and prioritizes monetization over meaningful fixes.

Common complaints raised

  • “Monetize everything”: People mock the plan to sell an item that converts weapon physical/magic type (“additional effect physical/magic conversion ticket”), seeing it as a cash-grab after a bad patch.

  • Poor QA / sloppy announcement: Several comments call out mistakes in the patch notice (copy-paste errors, missing details like MP recovery for a class), implying lack of polish or care.

  • Balance is worse, not better: Multiple players say this is the worst balance patch they’ve seen and that strong characters remain strong while weak ones stay weak.

  • Loss of unique class traits: Users complain that some classes lost defining strengths (e.g., certain invincibility or party-protection effects) without fair compensation.

  • Specific mechanical grievances:

    • Requests for invulnerability/“super armor”/stagger protection on certain skills (e.g., “give supers for green-heal/녹힐”).

    • Complaints about passive stat changes that block reaching max crit or other thresholds (mentions of “mancrux / 만크” issues and percent multipliers).

    • MP costs and recovery changes that hurt solo play or class sustainability.

  • Communication and leadership blame: Several posts directly criticize the operations team or director, asking whether they even play the game and calling for better responsiveness.

Representative lines and meaning

  • “와~~~~ 대~~~~~~~~~단하십니다~~~” — Sarcastic “wow, great job” aimed at devs (not genuine praise).

  • “게임을 직접 해 보고 이걸 감행하려는 겁니까?” — “Did the ops team even play the game before pushing this?” (accuses them of ignorance).

  • “검수도 제대로 안하고 성의가 없는 공지” — “Announcement looks unreviewed and half-hearted.”

  • “녹힐한테 슈아좀 다 주세요 제발” — “Please give super armor (invulnerability) to the healer/green-heal players; nobody will bring a healer without it.”

  • “1차 2차 공지사항 복붙… 티나요” — “It’s obvious they copy-pasted first/second notices without checking.”

  • “카타의 가만히 있던 권능 파티 슈아는 왜 뻇했나” — “Why did you remove party super-armor from Katastrophy’s passive with no compensation?”

Net effect on community sentiment

  • Anger and disappointment dominate; many users feel ignored and monetized.

  • A few short reactions are just humorous or resigned (“legend,” “ㅋㅋㅋ”).

  • The thread shows consensus that the patch introduced or left major problems and the developers mishandled communication.

If you want, I can:

  • Draft a concise, constructive post you could add to the thread to voice core issues without the toxic tone.

  • Extract the most actionable dev requests from these replies (e.g., restore specific protections, fix MP values, adjust passive stats) into a clear feedback list.
    Which would you prefer?

Good. When their own home base players are shitting on them, I expect them to run the patch back within 2 weeks.

If not, the game might truly be entering their death knell.

How many players are complaining compared to their playerbase?

I need someone who is close to KR players or plays on KR server to tell me how are things for normal solo players after all of this mess.

By normal solo players i mean f2p and under 10m CP so with EP IB, +10 Vos, prof Pho tene, Rosso+Berthe accessories, etc…

I don’t think that comparison would be fair since “normal” players on NA/INT are newbies on KR due to economy differences. Also, the setup you’re talking about is basically given away at the start. Does “normal solo player” mean “player who doesn’t play”?

most of the patch kinda makes sense if i just go by the KR player standard
reduced all buffs from characters i get since KR will now play with 1 support everyone else is a DPS so it would even out since the dps will now come from 6 members instead of just 1 or 2
KR already does 1 healer meta they just made it the norm instead of opt in
it kinda make sense but strictly only on KR in any server which is not as sweat as the KR this would suck balls

we plan to collect gameplay data from

effectively outta their a-holes because the fact that they’re still relying on asinine number sorcery that gives almost no context as to how and why those numbers are happening means they have learned little of positive worth, and so they only learn a lot of negative worth.

were i more of a conspiracy theorist, i’d claim that they’re spamming these brain-dead strobe-light effects passed off as skill animations so that they can claim that looking past them and seeing how they’re being used would be oh-so-very unreasonable, and that’s why they just lOoK aT tHe NuMbErS. but that means accusing them of trying for foresight, and that’s plainly not a reasonable claim when it comes to these people.

I’ve been reading through the patches from the test server and I’m honestly shocked. DPS and support DPS will probably have no trouble finding groups, but what about the supports? Some got completely broken, others were barely touched or just had abilities moved around. As an AV player, I can only shake my head at this. And if only one support is picked, you can already guess who people will want — everyone else is at a disadvantage. So much for “you can play any character the way you want.”

I still think it’s insane they’re releasing the balance patch live just like that.

Two three day test is not nearly enough to receive good feedback for this whole “overhaul” they’re doing. I understand WHY they’re doing it, don’t get me wrong, and it’s, sadly, necessary. But yeah, nerfing pretty much all buffs is an insane way to do it.

Seems like this “testing” was nothing but a ruse, they knew backlash was unavoidable and came up with this farce of a testserver.

No proper testing has been done, requirements to join the testserver have been low, no proper testing instructions have been given either.

They’re slimey, all changes are meant to force multiplayer and make players more reliant on each others dmg rather than support.

Which is going to make gear improvement seem logical and thus engagement in gambling and FOMO.

God, if only such “business” practices are going to held accountable ONCE.

wait, so thats it? they gutted Avaricia and leave her like that, like i dont even use her but i get how unfunny it is for a character to have a mechanic for so long and then out of nowhere have it removed, there is even some skills that no longer even do anything thanks to that… how was that given an ok?

They moved the Vow exclusivities into other parts of her kit so everyone gets the same share now - all the Vowed Person gets is some minor Quality of Life (namely Awk. Charge Speed and Mov./Jump Speed). The only nerf is Grandeur being a selfish buff now.

Basically Vow is now a range extension kit for Avarice which works best for her and the current meta KoG wants.

The days of bringing your raid with 4-7 buffers are over; it was a constant problem . What bothers me a bit is that, in order for other characters to participate in the party and create synergy, you have to significantly reduce the effect or damage of their buffs/debuffs. You eliminate buffer hoarding, but you also negatively impact the solo player simply because you nerfed their stats so they can synergize with the party.
Furthermore, the balance change is clearly intended for those who are up-to-date and playing with the latest and greatest. Perhaps another Quality of Life update will be released in the future, but in the meantime, it will create problems for those who are in the middle of the game.

Up-to-date players are testers, “balancing” will be made around their results and there sure is an incentive to do so, money.

Selectable difficulties need to come back and each difficulty needs to be tested with pre-given restrictions on equipment.

There’s a thing I’m wondering about: Group-search buff. Why is that a thing and not a multiplier for enemies hitpoints based on group size?

With that, balancing only needs to revolve around single play, the multiplier for groups will “balance” them, no need for drastic nerfs and buffs either.

Just give players a good reason to play with others like: Additional rewards, higher dropchance and more exp.

This hampering of current gameplay styles just sucks, I didn’t like when it started years ago and I hate it now.

One thing for sure, this balance patch really hates solo players. Especially those in INT/NA server.

Thorns T
Thorns T03/20/2026 14:42

Hmm… can you elaborate on that? How they hate solo players in particular and then specifically how so on INT/NA?

0
Sol
Sol03/20/2026 16:55

Reduced buff numbers/nerfs just to slot in physical/magical properties for raid/party play.

This made sense, but it’s all downside for solo players.

INT/NA got fewer players in general so it’s already hard to find a party willing to accept you. Especially if you play non-support characters.

And I don’t like guilds in general. So yeah, it’s all about solo life for me. And this patch sucks for me specifically.
